Policy and global cues (on/before 8 Sep 2026)
No new BNM decision. Next local rate meeting is November. Markets were waiting on China trade data (8 Sep), US CPI (9 Sep) and PPI (10 Sep) ahead of the 15–16 September FOMC. Strong US August payrolls (+162k) had already lifted hike odds. Oil stayed elevated on Gulf shipping risk. Wall Street was closed Monday for US Labour Day; Tuesday Asia trade was cautious.

A range day. The index held 1,710–1,715 while mid-caps and construction did the work. Zetrix was the story stock. GTA’s soft debut was typical ACE first-day behaviour after a large book.
Support: 1,710–1,700. Resistance: 1,715–1,730.
