Bursa Malaysia concluded the latest trading session on a weaker note. Key indices experienced declines, reflecting bearish market sentiment. The FBM KLCI closed at 1,558.97, down 0.94%, marking a year-to-date (YTD) loss of 5.08%. Similarly, the FBM Mid 70, FBM Small Cap, and FBM ACE indices fell by 1.50%, 1.60%, and 1.79%, respectively.

The market’s trading activity remained active, albeit slightly subdued compared to the previous day. A total volume of 2.756 billion units was traded, with a corresponding value of RM 2.376 billion. In contrast, the prior session recorded 3.008 billion units worth RM 3.059 billion. Decliners outnumbered gainers significantly, with 782 losers versus 235 gainers, while 415 stocks remained unchanged.


Ringgit Performance: USD and SGD Comparison

The Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) showed mixed performance against major currencies. It traded at 4.3800 against the USD, registering a YTD gain of 2.0959%. Against the Singapore Dollar (SGD), the Ringgit settled at 3.2535, reflecting a marginal YTD improvement of 0.9866%.
